We gratefully acknowledge the help and support of the following individuals and companies in bringing this great art adventure to life. Their energy, enthusiasm and commitment are very much appreciated:
Bloomberg L.P.
Bloomberg is proud to support the environment and education, and is particularly pleased to have extended its support of this Royal Parks project to include the newly introduced schools' programme.
As a leading global financial information services company, Bloomberg is deeply committed to education and creativity, and to expanding access to art, science and the humanities.
Shanghai Botanical Garden
Through Deckchair Dreams, this year the Royal Parks Foundation has built a strong cultural and horticultural partnership with Shanghai Botanical Garden to help develop both our education programmes. The partnership has helped us develop relationships with Chinese artists and enabled us to share ideas for community and education activities. In particular, the Shanghai Botanical Garden wish to extend their art programme and the Foundation wishes to explore creative initiatives working with older people.
British Council
The British Council kindly invited the Royal Parks Foundation to support Britain at the launch of EXPO 2010 in Shanghai and to display the Deckchair Dreams collection at the UK pavilion. We are delighted to exhibit our deckchairs on both sides of the world and to foster relations between young people of different cultures.
Shanghai International Culture Association
For the past 20 years, SICA has devoted itself to promoting culture exchange between China and other countries. The SICA has a strong association with 2010 World Expo in Shanghai where some of the deckchairs will be exhibited to over 70 million people.
