As Operations Officer, I have been a member of the  Royal Parks Foundation team since May 2014. I have a very versatile role which leads to no two days being the same.

I am responsible for facilities management, school bookings, events assistance, administration and so much more! I have an environmental background and am relishing the opportunity to contribute towards the fight for urban green spaces.

The best thing about my job is…it’s location. An idyllic sanctuary in the heart of London filled with native animals, a myriad of plants, and oxygen-rich air—what more could you want!

My favourite Royal Park is…Kensington Gardens. The statues throughout the Gardens are so wonderful, they really bring a sense of enchantment to the Park. In particular The Albert Memorial Statue, the Physical Energy Statue, and of course, Peter Pan and his many magical friends.

My favourite fact about a Royal Park is...that the Elfin Oak tree appeared inside the cover of Pink Floyd's 1969 album Ummagumma. David Gilmour, guitarist and lead singer, is pictured in front of the Elfin Oak.

If I were a creature in the Parks, I would be...a butterfly. Vivid colours, the ability to fly, surrounded by exquisite flowers all day long...need I say more.

If I had a super-power, it would be… to time travel. Then I could take part in one of Henry VIII's hunting parties and ride around the Parks in a chariot.
