I joined the Royal Parks Foundation in November 2013 as Head of Programmes (maternity cover) after 15 years managing programmes in the non-profit cultural sector in the UK and abroad.

It has been a phenomenal experience where I have had the opportunity to learn about and contribute to the Foundation's four areas of work: Heritage, Education, Well being and Nature.

During this time I have managed a research project on hedgehogs in The Regent's Park, been involved with our Swings and Roundabouts programme to restore playgrounds across our eight Royal Parks, and worked closely with our partners The Royal Parks, ZSL, Variety and others. I also work across several teams reviewing and developing strategies and plans so we can respond to the needs of the Parks and our communities.

With their unique and howling history and wildlife, the Royal Parks are the breathing lungs of London and fundamental to its future. I feel extremely lucky to be part of such a worthy cause and work alongside a wonderful group of people.

The best thing about my job is… I think I answered it above… (but if you need an answer ALL of it!)

My favourite Royal Park is...Each park has its own character and focus… but my top three are Hyde Park (I pinch myself every morning on my way to work), Richmond (a heaven for wildlife), and Greenwich (home of a world heritage site).

If I were a creature in the Parks, I would be...A prickly hedgehog for sure!

If I had a super-power, it would be… To control the weather… winter would be definitely out of the picture!
