Deckchair Collections

Deckchair Dreams logo for RPF website Every deckchair designed for Deckchair Dreams has been inspired by nature and the Royal Parks, and has its own unique charm and appeal.

For more than a hundred years, deckchairs have provided a place to rest weary feet and have a little day dream in London’s Royal Parks. In 2005, we looked out the window and thought how fantastic it would be to add to London's iconic deckchairs by turning some of them into works of art for everyone to enjoy. And so Deckchair Dreams was born.

These collections of deckchairs transform the traditional landscape of London's Royal Parks each summer. They also raise vital funds for special Park projects, from auctioning the signed orginals and sales from our online shop, where you can buy limited edition deckchairs for your own home.

2013 Collection

In 2013, artists were asked to reflect on Nature's Grand Designs when creating their deckchair canvases.

2010 Collection

Deckchair Dreams went global with deckchairs in London’s Royal Parks, UK Pavilion, Shanghai World Expo and the Shanghai Botanical Garden.

2008 Collection

In 2008, artists' designs were inspired by the rare and wonderful things of the Royal Parks.

2007 Collection

In 2007, artists were asked to design the deckchairs with the trees and the wildlife as their inspiration.

2006 Collection

In the first year of Deckchair Dreams, the artists were asked to donate a design that would look stunning within the Royal Parks.
