Deer Hide and Nature Trail in Greenwich Park

With your support, we funded a new deer hide and nature trail in Greenwich Park.

School children can now get a really close view of this historic herd of 16 fallow and 14 red deer. The nature trail starting from the Secret Garden Wildlife Centre winds through a wooded area, dotted with a variety of habitats designed to encourage wildlife.

The nature trail includes:

  • a stag beetle loggery
  • nesting boxes for bats and hedgehogs
  • bird boxes for owls, kestrels, robins, sparrows and wrens
  • a pond teaming with wildlife
  • invertebrate wood piles

We'd also like to thank Artemis, one of our corporate supporters, for their help to care for the Greenwich Deer Hide.
