The Hub, The Regent's Park

Before The Hub, more than 400 sports matches had to be cancelled in Regent’s Park due to waterlogged pitches and when they did go ahead, players shivered as winter winds whistled through the cracks of the old changing pavilion.

But not any more. Since 2005, with your help, Regent’s Park boasts a warm and welcoming pavilion, The Hub. With over 40 restored pitches for football, cricket, softball, hockey and rugby, as well as a community sport programme, it reaches out to people of all ages, as well as over 3,500 disadvantaged young people each year.

It also plays host to Chips in the Park, a project to encourage young people into sport. We provide free coaching on Saturday mornings to improve the fitness of 10 - 17 year olds in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
