Professional Development

We are committed to encouraging as many students to learn outside the classroom as possible. As part of this commitment we offer continuing professional development sessions to teachers to help you enhance and develop the skills you need to engage young people with the natural world.

Training for primary school teachers

Whether you would like to look at techniques using nature to raise achievement in literacy, or simple ways to green your school ground we can help! Sessions can be delivered for organised groups here in our state of the art environmental education centre in Hyde Park, or if it's more convenient we can come to your school and deliver a session for teachers there. We also run training sessions for student teachers, showing them how to make the most of outdoor resources.
