Post-16 sessions

Here are our current Post-16 programme sessions at our Education Centre in Hyde Park. You can book either a half or full day depending on which sessions you choose from the list below. Once you’ve selected your sessions, just fill in our enquiry form and we can arrange your visit.

Practical Ecology and Fieldwork (AS/A2 level)

Our Education Centre provides the perfect base for A-level fieldwork. Students have access to field equipment, a range of park habitats and expert educators to guide their data collection. We have developed different modules for you to select for the morning and afternoon parts of the session, depending on the sampling techniques that your students need to practice.  

During the course of the day, students will also be introduced to the process of preparing and planning a scientific study, developing hypotheses, writing risk assessments and creating field sketches. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their fieldwork techniques and to identify areas for improvement.
