We love yoga here at the Royal Parks Foundation, especially when it's outside! Since 2011, we've partnered with Yeotown Yoga to hold events in the Royal Parks to highlight both the physical, mental and wellbeing benefits that yoga can bring.

Doing stretches by the cabbage patch in the Isis Education Centre Hyde ParkLast Wednesday expert instructor, Rali Gineva, was joined by a class of 35 yoga lovers in the grounds of the Isis Education Centre in Hyde Park for an evening of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. The temperature was just right, the sky was a hazy blue - perfect conditions for outdoor yoga!

People had come from all around London and beyond, some already knew of Yeotown, some had been to the Isis Education Centre before where they'd heard about the class and wanted to try something new - we even had someone who happened to be in London on holiday and was thrilled to pop in and practice it in Hyde Park whilst she was here!

Starting at 6.30pm, the class unfolded as the sun set behind the trees of the Park. Stretching out and relaxing at yoga at the Isis Education Centre in Hyde ParkAs the light filtered through the surrounding parkland and then through the flowering butterfly bank in the grounds of the Centre, it contrasted with the colourful yoga mats, clothing and stretching bodies. All framed by the Isis Education Centre's tree-house design. Simply stunning. More photos can be found on our Facebook page.

We caught up with one yogi, Shaz, just after the class, who found the experience 'magical and enchanting'.
