£71K raised for charities at 2011 Winter Wonderland Charity Preview Night

Huge thanks to everyone who bought a ticket to our Winter Wonderland Charity Preview Night on 17 November 2011. You have helped us to raise over £71k for Charity! What a tree-mendous success!

Your support will go towards the vital work of the Royal Parks Foundation and the following charities who were involved in this charity preview evening:

We had a fabulous evening darting from the roller coasters to the giant wheel to the circus and then skating our way around the beautiful ice rink, complete with magical fairy lights and live music from the band stand.

With four hours of fun filled winter magic we didn’t quite know what to do first. There are so many rides and attractions at Winter Wonderland, for all ages to enjoy, and with the charity preview night wristband you can go on all of them as many times as you like! Although, after hearing the screams of excitement and fright coming from the Power Tower, no one this year was brave enough to go on that ride.

There was obviously a lot of celeb spotting to do on this night too, as it is also the official night for press and celebrities to visit.  We felt quite excited to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of X Factor stars One Direction and Matt Cardle, Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Jenny Frost, Donna Air and Vanessa Feltz.

The evening is such a great way to kick start festivities with a bang. Wandering around the beautiful Christmas market with a wonderful array of wintery culinary delights, handicrafts and unique gift ideas, really gets you in the festive spirit.

If you didn’t manage to attend our charity preview night you can still pop along to Winter Wonderland as it is open until 3 January 2012. All the rides and attractions will be on an individual fee basis now, but it is definitely worth a look and is sure to make you feel all Christmassy!
