We're delighted to announce that after four years of successful fundraising, our half marathon has helped to raise an estimated £11million for 365 UK based charities, including us, the Royal Parks Foundation.

Our annual half marathon event was created in 2008 as an annual fundraising initiative to raise sustainable funds to support London’s eight Royal Parks, as well as an opportunity for charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event.

As places are so highly sought after, this event has provided an effective fundraising platform in a challenging marketplace for many UK charities. Now established as a must do in the sporting calendar, the half marathon aims to be as inclusive as possible and offers hundreds of charities the opportunity to benefit from its huge success.

The 2011 event alone, which saw 12,500 runners join the start line with Nell McAndrew, has helped us to raise over £3million (and counting) for 217 UK charities and was Virgin Money Giving’s second highest fundraising participation event of the year.

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon is Britain’s most beautiful city run.  Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the beautiful 13.1 mile route races through four of London’s stunning Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park and St James’s Park) and offers 12,500 runners magnificent views of some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.
