A scurry of squirrels scamper through London

With Team Squirrel mascot Chester at their head, a scurry of squirrels stormed central London today, to be the first to enter the ballot for the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, which opened today.

These scampering champs hope to be among the 16,000 runners lining up on Sunday 6 October in Hyde Park for the most beautiful run in the world’s greatest city.

Chester said:

After conkering last year’s race with a squirrel Personal Best, I can’t wait to get cracking on training for this year’s Half Marathon. This morning’s outing was just our warm-up, now we’re scurrying off to sign up for the ballot – join us”
