St Mary's Bryanston Square Primary School Deckchair

As part of Deckchair Dreams 2013 every child in Year 1 of St Mary's Bryanston Square Primary School contributed to this stunning design and a limited edition of 250 were made into deckchairs for you to buy, and enjoy, and help support the magic of the Royal Parks.

The 5-6 year olds visited the Isis Education Centre to learn about nature and design a deckchair for the Royal Parks. Minibeast hunting under logs and in our dipping pond, they were looking at metamorphosis and the changing shape of animals through their life cycle.

The children matched minibeasts to movement and music, and were also introduced to new art materials and techniques to help them design their deckchair, such as monoprinting and monotyping.

• Printed artist’s woven canvas, suitable for outdoor use
