Looking for some training advice in the last few weeks before the big day on 11 October? We're on hand with expert training workshops and advice, to make sure you're physically and mentally ready.
A team of Fitness First trainers will lead sessions with tips on stretching pre and post-race, strengthening your core, staying injury free and all the advice you could possibly need on how to run your best race.
This training workshop is taking place at Fitness First’s London Bridge Cottons club. You are more than welcome to enjoy the amazing facilities at the club after the workshop too. Even if it’s just to relax in the sauna after your workout!
Our training workshops are limited to 60 places per session and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis so book today! We're offering an early bird discount until 25 August after which the price will be £20.
What will the workshop cover?
1) Faster - Get some practical tips on how to get your speed up and how to increase your stamina before race day.
2) BEAT session - A session using Fitness First’s special heart rate technology in the club. It will look at how to increase your aerobic and anaerobic capacity. And explain the difference between the two!
3) Athletic group training - This session will work on building up different areas of your strength to help support your running.
4) Mobilisation - During this session Fitness First will encourage you to look at how moving through 3 planes of motion will get not just your temperature up before the run but also mobilise though joints and prepare you for the race.
