Terms & Conditions of the Summer Horse Rides in Richmond Park (12 - 28 June)

  1. The Summer Rides are only suitable for young children if the whole carriage is booked (four seats).
  2. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult
  3. The e-ticket is valid for use only for the time and date stated on the ticket
  4. The Summer Rides need to run according to schedule, and we regret we cannot wait for latecomers.  Refunds will not be given although a transfer to another ride may be arranged subject to availability.
  5.  We offer tea and refreshments before the ride, with a tour of the stables weather permitting. 
  6.  While our horses are well trained, all animals can be unpredictable and we urge you to be cautious around the horses at all times
  7. Tickets are non refundable and non transferrable
  8. The experience lasts 90 minutes - 30 minutes behind the scenes show around, 60 minutes ride
  9. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend services as deemed necessary and without issuing advanced notice. In the event of a ride cancellation a full refund for tickets purchased, or transfer to an alternative ride is available
  10. If the ride is stopped for some reason after the first 15 minutes, we can offer you a place on another ride, free of charge, subject to availability
  11. We take no responsibility for items left on the vehicle, in your car or at the stables; personal items are carried at the owners risk and we can take no responsibility for items damaged or lost
  12. Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted during the Summer Rides
  13. We reserve the right to refuse entry to intoxicated persons, and will not tolerate in any way abusive or threatening behaviour to staff. In such instances tickets will not be refunded
  14. If the ride is shared, we ask that passengers are mindful of others during the tour, and anyone behaving in a disruptive manner may be asked to disembark
  15. Please be aware that we operate with horses and historic vehicles.  Access to the vehicles is limited, and we regret we have no wheelchair access for this vehicle.
  16. It is possible to take 'babes in arms' on the tour, however the vehicle is very small. Please contact us for more details

Delivery Timescales

  • We print each deckchair order individually so it can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. We will do our best to deliver it earlier and will send you a note once it is despatched
  • Tote bags should be with you within 5 working days of your order
  • The Royal Parks of London book should be with you within 7 working days of your order
  •  Hyde Park: Walk For Tree Lovers Maps should be with you within 5 working days of your order
  • Items of clothing should be with you within 10 working days of your order.

Delivery Method

  • Deckchairs will be packaged and sent by courier on next working day delivery. If you provide a contact number or email address, we will notify you once your order has been despatched.
  • Tote bags are sent by Royal Mail Special delivery service
  • The Royal Parks of London book are sent by Royal Mail Standard Parcel Delivery
  • Hyde Park: Walk For Tree Lovers Map are sent by Royal Mail First Class Post

Delivery Queries

  • If there is no one at the delivery address to sign for your deckchair, tote bag or book, an “attempted delivery” card will be left with details of where the parcel can be picked up.
  • Overseas delivery is no problem, delivery prices will vary.

Your order

Cancelling Your Order

  • If, after placing your order, you change your mind within 14 days, please contact the Royal Parks Foundation by emailing [email protected] or telephoning 020 7036 8049. After 7 days of your order date, we regret we will not be able to offer a refund.

Damaged Products

  • If your goods are damaged in transit, please contact us within 10 days of receipt. We will be happy to replace them or refund your money, including postage costs.
  • If there is any problem with your garment on arrival regarding size or condition, we will be happy to exchange it or provide a refund if you inform us within 10 days of your purchase or delivery date and can provide proof of purchase. Replacements will depend on stock available.

Experiences / Activities - Isis Education Centre

Definitions

  • “Activity” means the experience you have asked to take part in e.g. Ramble in the Park.
  • “Organiser” means Royal Parks Foundation.
  • “Fee” means the cost you pay before participation in the activity.
  • “Participant” means the person(s) booked to take part in the activity.
  • “Royal Parks Foundation” means Royal Parks Foundation, registered charity no. 1097545, at The Old Police House, Hyde Park, London, W2 2UH United Kingdom.
  • “Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions set out below.
  • “Website” means SupportTheRoyalParks.org

1. Agreement

1.1 By making a booking and paying for your activity, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

1.2 The Organiser reserves the right in their absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons to refuse to accept a booking.

1.3 The agreement is between the Organiser and the person purchasing the Activity.  The person buying the Activity is responsible for any minors they are booking onto the Activity. They are also responsible for making sure all other Participants they book are aware of these Terms and Conditions.

1.4 If any provision in the Terms and Conditions, whether in full or in part, is held to be invalid or unenforceable, all other remaining provisions (in full or in part) shall continue to be valid and enforceable. The Terms and Conditions shall be subject to English law and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

2. Purchasing and Booking

2.1 Only people aged as specified in the content of the Activity on the website may register for the relevant Activity.

2.2 No refunds will be provided should a Participant(s) fail to take part in the Activity, for any other reason save in exceptional circumstances as determined by the Organiser in their absolute discretion.

2.3 The personal information provided by the Participant(s) when booking the Activity will be stored on a secure database, will not be shared with third parties and only used for the functional purpose of the experience by the Royal Parks Foundation. You may be contacted with further information about the Activity by post, email, telephone or sms.

2.4 The Participant acknowledges that personal information can be stored, used and disclosed by the Organiser in connection with the organisation and administration of the Activity and for the compilation of anonymous statistical information.

2.5 The Organiser reserves the right to request evidence of a Participant(s) circumstances when a booking has been made under the concessions fee.  If it is discovered that any Participant(s) should have been ineligible to participate in the experience under that fee, the Organiser reserves the right to expect an additional payment to cover the total fee immediately, or to refuse entry to such Participant(s) to the Activity. The Organiser shall not be liable in any way to the Participant as a result of any such refusal.

3. The Activity

3.1 The Activity will be held on the date specified on the Website.

3.2 The Organiser reserves the right to change the time, date and/or venue and format of the Activity and to cancel the Activity, in whole or in part, without notice or liability to the Participant(s).

3.3 The Organiser reserve the exclusive right and license throughout the world (and, the Participant(s) hereby grants the Organiser such exclusive right and license) to photograph and/or film Participant(s) at the Activity and to the unlimited use of these images in current and future media and promotions.

3.4 For every three children participating in an Activity there must be at least one responsible adult, unless specified differently on the Website.  The adult responsible for the children must maintain control of those children to the satisfaction of the Organiser in order to cause no risk to themselves or other Participants.  The Organiser reserves the right to refuse that Participant entry to the Activity if there is not the correct proportion of adults to children or that the children are not in control.

3.5 For certain Activities, the Participant must provide additional information and sign and complete a consent form on behalf of a minor, which must be returned within the deadlines set out at the time of booking.  This additional information will be requested at the time of booking or on acknowledgement of the booking.

3.6 The Organiser shall take all reasonable steps to assess the safety and suitability of the Activity prior to the Activity taking place.

3.7 Activities take place at the Isis Education Centre and in the wider Royal Parks and are by their very nature not absolutely free from hazard.  The Participant(s) acknowledges that participation in certain Activities may involve inherent risks and dangers of accidents and personal injury. By booking onto an Activity, the Participant(s) confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, they understand and have considered and evaluated the nature, scope and extent of the risks involved, and voluntarily and freely choose to assume these risks (except where any such personal and bodily injury, is caused by the negligence of the Organiser or any of their employees).

3.8 The Participant acknowledges that other loss, damage and expense (including without limitation, loss of money, loss or damage to clothes and possessions, losses arising on the cancellation of a booking and the expenses of delay and the harm caused other than by negligence of the Organiser) however arising is not the responsibility of the Organiser and the Organiser’s liability is hereby limited.

3.9 The Participant acknowledges it is their responsibility to wear appropriate clothing and bring refreshments if they choose to, unless stipulated in the Website content or communication with the Participant prior to the Activity.

4. Complaints

4.1 If a Participant has cause for complaint about an Activity, the complaint should be made to a representative of the Organiser during the Activity so that corrective action can be taken immediately if necessary.  The Participant acknowledges that it is unreasonable to remain quiet about a potential cause for complaint during an Activity and then to complain later.  Should any problem not be resolved on the day, complaint should be made in writing within 28 days.

5. Changes to this agreement

5.1 The Organiser reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice.
