Education & Learning Officer

  • 3 days per week, 9 months fixed term contract (starting March 2014), with the possibility of extension
  • £27,000 – 28,000 per year pro rata (according to experience)
  • 25 days leave per annum pro rata, plus Public Holidays

Working with the Education team, the Education & Learning Officer will be responsible for delivering the Foundation’s informal education programme and support the delivery of the formal education programme with schools at The Isis Education Centre, in Hyde Park.

  • You will develop and deliver successful informal education activities at The Isis Education Centre, engaging with diverse communities - including people with special needs and minority groups, and working in partnership with The Royal Parks and other relevant organisations
  •  You will also provide support to the Education team, by delivering practical and inspiring sessions to school groups (mainly primary school students) on themes related to science, wildlife and geography, as and when needed.

The Education & Learning Officer will:

  • Develop the nascent Isis Education Centre informal education programme
  • Assist the Education team in delivering education sessions to school groups
  • Work with the Education team and other colleagues to help plan and develop the Foundation’s overall Education programme as well as other initiatives with a learning component
  • Engage and work with programme partners and volunteers, acting as an ambassador of the Foundation at all times.
