South Carriage Drive Playground

Over the years, this popular Hyde Park playground had became worn and dated. Recently refurbished by The Royal Parks, this playground has now reopened to the public with a new lease of life! 

Located in the southern boundary of Hyde Park, South Carriage Drive Playground is close to the busy streets of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, yet still surrounded by the Park's natural environment.

Our role

In early 2013, our Education Team led a number of consultation workshops  to find out what local children and families wanted from their playground. Their creative and imaginative ideas helped shape the final design. Now the playground is complete, the team will also help gather impressions of the new playground and play equipment. if you would like to know more about the consultation please read our Consultation Report.
