Drinking Fountain Competition

Drinking fountains have a vital role to play in helping visitors to parks and other public spaces quench their thirst quickly, cheaply and in an environmentally friendly way.

However, there is a shortage of drinking fountains in parks across the UK. In 2010, to improve the provision of fresh, healthy, energy-efficient drinking water in The Royal Parks and other public spaces, we began working with the Tiffany & Co Foundation, The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and The Royal Parks to launch a competition to find a design of a new, top-quality, low-cost, model drinking fountain.
