Festive horse-drawn carriage rides in Richmond Park

Have you always wanted to ride around in Santa’s sleigh? Well, this Christmas you can! We've partnered up with Operation Centaur to give you the chance to step into your very own horse-drawn sleigh for a magical ride in Richmond Park and experience the park like you never have before.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout December you can go on a 90 minute carriage ride, with just 4 people on board with you. You’ll be offered hot drinks and mince pies upon arrival and then taken on a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the working stables. Once your horses are readied you will take your place in the Landau carriage under warm blankets, embarking on a ride through the park in all its stark winter beauty. There will be plenty of photo opportunities en route – from marvelling at the majestic deer who have been roaming freely since 1529 to basking in the history of the ancient oak trees surrounding you, pre-dating the 1300’s.

Spaces are limited on this magical experience, with each pair costing just £125, which include carriage blankets and warm refreshments upon arrival. All proceeds will go to the Royal Parks Foundation, to help fund sustainable conservation initiatives with the working Shire horses in The Royal Parks.
