As the days get longer and the sun finally appears from behind the clouds, London’s Royal Parks really come to life! The daffodils are blooming, the frogs are spawning and the birds are busily preparing their nests for the arrival of their new spring hatchlings.

There’s so much happening in the Parks at this time of year - here are our top five suggestions for things to do:

1. Go on a pelican tour in the oldest of London’s Royal Parks

Stroll through St James’s Park and uncover the hidden history of some of London’s iconic locations including The Mall and Horse Guards Parade on our Walking Tour. You’ll also find out all about the pelicans of St James’s Park, who have been part of the landscape since 1664, then end the tour just in time to see them being fed!

Sign up now to meet the pelicans on Thursday 13 April.

2. Listen to the sounds of spring

At sunrise on 8 May visit Hyde Park and experience one of nature’s wonders – the dawn chorus!

While the rest of the city sleeps join the blackbirds, wrens, chaffinches, robins, goldfinches, dunnocks, blackcaps and thrushes as they join together in full-throated song to greet the new day. Take a wander through the park’s more wooded areas with our expert guide before warming up with a brew in our beautiful private garden as the rest of London begins to wake.

Don’t miss out on this unique experience!

3. Get your Yoga flow on

Like nature, burst into life this spring with some outdoor Vinyasa flow yoga! Led by Mercedes Sieff, yogi extraordinaire, let go of all your pent up stress and tension as well as learning the principles of Positive Psychology. You’ll take home tips and techniques to help you lead a more relaxed and happier life.

Relax and let go on Monday 25 April.

4. Free Easter holiday activities for all the family

Bring your family along to one of our free nature discovery days to uncover and discover the magic of nature (and find your inner child while you’re at it!)
There’ll be a nature trail to follow and plenty of arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained throughout the day.

Our Discovery Days are on throughout the Easter holidays – check out the dates here.

5. Eat your way to happiness
