The flowers are blooming, the trees are in full leaf and the sun is shining – it can only mean one thing, summer is finally here!

And it’s brought with it lots of exciting events in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens for you to enjoy. From scavenger hunts and free children’s activities to outdoor yoga classes, there’s plenty to choose from.

  • Win the inaugural Hyde Park Scavenger Hunt!

Grab your most trusted companions and join us on a Scavenger Hunt, which will see your team dashing around Hyde Park on a journey of discovery. You can test your knowledge about the natural world, uncover the hidden histories of the Park and get a little bit creative. You'll be awarded points for the number of clues you solve - the highest scoring team will be announced the winner!

Don’t miss out – join us at 6.30pm on Wednesday 6 July.

  • Take a walk in the Park

Join one of our sell-out walking tours and explore the Royal Parks whilst uncovering hidden facts about the parks.

Each walking tour is themed and this summer you can meet Hyde Park’s native bats during a unique chance to walk in the park at night on our bat walk; visit the site in Kensington Gardens, which inspired J.M. Barrie to write the famous Peter Pan stories on our Peter Pan walk or learn more about some of the 250 varieties of tree, which make Hyde Park their home on our Tree walk

Find out more and book a Walking Tour here!

  • Free summer holiday activities for the family

Bring your family along to one of our free Discovery Days at our secret garden in Hyde Park where you can discover the magic of nature (and find your inner child while you’re at it!)

There’ll be pond dipping, sweep netting and a nature trail to follow plus plenty of arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained throughout the day.

Our Discovery Days are on throughout the summer holidays – check out the dates here.

  • Go on a sunset safari this August

If you’re looking for an alternative evening activity then get the family wrapped up and join us around the campfire in our secret gardens in the heart of Hyde Park.

Once the sun has set, you’ll head out into the Park on an evening safari led by our resident bat expert. You'll use bat detectors to listen in to their secret calls and learn how to identify which species are flying above you.

Places are limited so grab yours here.

  • Get active with an outdoor Yoga flow workshop

There's nothing quite like practicing yoga out in the open air so join us and Rali Ginevaer for her wildly popular brand of Dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga. At this fast paced session, you'll learn fun and accessible ways to work on your core and develop a stronger sense of balance.

Book now for Monday 18 July and start the summer feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!
