I joined the Royal Parks Foundation in May 2015 as the Community Engagement Officer. My role involves organising the exciting and varied community events we hold here at the beautiful Education Centre in the heart of Hyde Park. These include Yoga, Meditation, Wildlife walks, Photography, Art courses and many more! I am very new and have a lot to learn but I feel very lucky that I am able to help engage the community in our beautiful Royal Parks.

The best thing about my job is…Having an office located in the middle of Hyde Park is definitely a perk of the job! And I love my role as it is so varied and exciting to have the opportunity to engage the community in unique experiences. A real privilege is seeing people’s reactions when they come into the Education Centre for the first time.

My favourite Royal Park is... I love Richmond Park as it is so full of wildlife and really makes me feel like I am far away from the city!

My favourite fact about a Royal Park is...As a recent arrival in the UK from Australia, I am still learning all the incredible history surrounding the Royal Parks and I hear amazing facts on a daily basis so it’s hard to choose!  Peter Pan was one of my favourites growing up and I love that JM Barrie used Kensington Gardens as inspiration!

If I were a creature in the Parks, I would be... A deer! They are so impressive and also live in herds and I like the idea of hanging out with my deer friends all day.

If I had a super-power, it would be…To fly. Not only for the fun but it would be a great way to travel. No more tube!
