2007 Collection

Deckchair Dreams celebrates the landscapes of the Royal Parks through individual works of art in the form of specially designed deckchairs.

With the support of Bloomberg and Deckchair Artists, for the second year in a row we were able transform the traditional Park landscape with wonderful designed deckchairs. In 2007, Deckchair Artists from the worlds of art, origami, music, food, poetry and design - including Damien Hirst, Sir Peter Blake, All Saints and Will Young - all generously donated designs.

We also worked with students aged 6-15 years from 3 different schools in London and Sheffield, who visited the Parks to study art and nature. Inspired by their experience, they also created deckchair designs, of which, three were selected to be part of the 2006 collection.

Not only wonderful to look at, these designer deckchairs also help raise vital funds for the Royal Parks. In 2007, monies raised through auctioning the original designs helped to look after the Parks' trees.

Many of these limited edition designer deckchairs are available to buy in our online shop. Recycled deckchair canvases are also available to buy in the form of a unique Bill Amberg Tote Bag.  All proceeds help to support the Royal Parks.
