Support the Centre

Research shows that connecting young people with the natural world is fantastic for their health and wellbeing, beneficial to their creativity and personal development and helps them look after the environment for the future.

The Isis Education Centre at The Look Out, Hyde Park tackles the need to engage young people with the great outdoors and we are collaborating with the Halcyon Gallery to make this possible. To date, they have generously:

  • donated the beautiful bronze sculpture, Isis, on the shores of the Serpentine, which has been the focal point for fundraising and given the centre its name
  • committed to support our core programme of classes with primary and secondary school children for the first three years.

Without Halcyon Gallery's support, the Isis Education Centre would simply not have been possible, but there is lots more we want to achieve and your support will make all the difference. Every penny counts:

  • £20 will buy seeds for the mini-allotment or bug examination pots for the minibeast area
  • £150 will go towards easy-grip art and gardening equipment, or a hearing loop for people with hearing impairments to experience birdsong clearly
  • £500 will enable a special needs group, or a group of older people to spend a day with our specialist team at the Centre
  • £1000-£5000 will create imaginative longer-term programmes, or special events for everyone to enjoy such as Big Bug Friday, Moth Magic or Go Conkers Bonkers!

However much you can give makes a difference to city children. Please support us today! Contact [email protected] or 020 7036 8040.

Trudie Styler and Sting talk about why they generously support the Isis Education Centre:

We care passionately about connecting young people with nature and the environment. For all those who work there and for its ever growing audience of young people, the Isis Education Centre is one of the most important and involving education centres in London. Its special character shines out. We are lucky that our children have had the opportunity to get to understand and appreciate the natural world. For many city children it is not easy, which is why we are delighted to support one of the classrooms at the Isis Education Centre, LookOut, Hyde Park."
