Isis Education Centre

Isis Education CentreImagine entering a hidden oasis in the heart of Hyde Park, London. A place to uncover minibeasts lurking under logs, to discover what lives under the water and explore your senses through touch and smell in the sensory garden.

Follow a winding path through the wildflowers and look up at the canopy of a building, both beautiful and sustainable. The Isis Education Centre is the perfect place in the centre of London to explore the outdoors with hands-on learning, linked to the national curriculum. We dare you not to fall in love with nature.

Learn and be inspired by nature

Stag bettleEducation at the Isis Education Centre is designed to discover and uncover the natural world. Interactive whiteboards and digital microscopes bring children even closer to nature, whilst traditional fishing nets and magnifying glasses still play a vital role.

The most important resources are those found outside. The monstrous jaws of a dragonfly nymph, the sound of a cricket chirping, or the wriggling secrets of the Sunshine Pond will stay with your students forever.

Why Isis?

The new centre takes its name from Isis, a stunning bronze sculpture situated on the southern shore of the Serpentine, generously donated by Halcyon Gallery. As the Principal Education Partner, Halcyon Gallery, through Isis, has helped raise a million pounds towards the build of the centre and in addition has committed to financially support the first three years of the education programme.
