He told us about his inspiration for his design:

I recently read an article highlighting how pesticides are contributing to declining numbers of bee colonies across the UK. When I read the brief I was instantly reminded of this issue and wanted to celebrate the bees that help to make London's Royal Parks so vibrant. The simplistic beauty and intricate structure of the hive formation (complimented with giant bee!) seemed the perfect image to represent the theme of Nature's Grand Designs.

All our amazing deckchairs have been generously designed by artists, designers, celebrities and children through Deckchair Dreams, a fantastic public art adventure, to celebrate the rare and wonderful things of London’s eight Royal Parks.
