Deer hide and nature trail
With your support, we funded a new deer hide and nature trail in Greenwich Park.
School children can now get a really close view of this historic herd of 16 fallow and 14 red deer. The nature trail starting from the Secret Garden Wildlife Centre winds through a wooded area, dotted with a variety of habitats designed to encourage wildlife.
The nature trail includes:
- a stag beetle loggery
- nesting boxes for bats and hedgehogs
- bird boxes for owls, kestrels, robins, sparrows and wrens
- a pond teaming with wildlife
- invertebrate wood piles
We'd also like to thank Artemis, one of our corporate supporters, for their help to care for the Greenwich Deer Hide.
